Quotes That Inspire Dreams For Women Entrepreneurs

"Now I lay me down to sleep,
I pray the Lord my soul to keep,
If I shall die before I wake,
I pray the Lord my soul to take." These are the words I learned as a child to recite on my knees as I got ready to crawl into bed each night. My family wasn't particularly religious and I think back on it now and wonder why on earth I was praying about dying and not waking up. It' was enough to send this little girl entrepreneur wannabe to a therapist.
Alas, my dreams were of lemonade stands, backyard carnivals and sitting at my executive desk ordering my secretary, my little sister, to take dictation, get my coffee and clean up the office. Ahh, dreams of our youth can and do provide a reality for the future. 
As a business coach, I recommend that my clients choose quotes that inspire them to repeat throughout the day to motivate them to keeping moving forward to reach their dream. One of my favorites is Eleanor Roosevelt's "The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams." It just isn't possible to recite that over and over again to yourself and not feel empowered to take the risk required to succeed.
It doesn't require being religious to believe that we have one chance at life and it is what we do with it that matters. It is the realization that we can't do anything about yesterday, have tremendous opportunity to take advantage of today and can prepare ourselves to risk the future of what tomorrow brings that makes us realists.
Women entrepreneurs are particularly susceptible to the naysayers who have lists of objections to the "so-called" selfishness of wanting more. However, it isn't selfish to use your talents and skills to change the world for the better. It isn't selfish to be a role model and lead by example for your family, your friends and scores of people you may never meet but will benefit from your quest to be the best that you can be.
Perhaps you'll find the quote that suits your need in this blog, but if not, take time to find the words that motivate you to the greatest that is in your dreams. Now more than ever, our country needs entrepreneurial women willing to risk the negativity that entrenches our culture with the myths of working women.
We are the future of economic stability in America and around the world....I believe this with all my heart and see it in my dreams.
