4 Tips For Women Entrepreneurs For Success

All entrepreneurs must realize that to win in business one must be focused on success 24/7. This does not mean, however, to keep your head down and isolate yourself in your business. Both men and women entrepreneurs must be committed to self-improvement in all mental, spiritual, emotional and physicial aspects while on the entrepreneurial journey. Here are 4 simple tips for women entrepreneurs, particularly, to follow which will lead to greater success.
(1) Networking
As every survey ever done on women entrepreneurs has demonstrated, isolation is the most serious issue women entrepreneurs face in their business. Of course, women tend to be natural networkers when it comes to home and family, and most everything else, so consciously spending time building relationships regularly in business is not difficult as long as she commits to it. The advance of social media does NOT take the place of getting out there and meeting with business colleagues and industry professionals. She can learn from other entrepreneurs by spending time with them. And the connections she makes in her industry or niche will serve her well as she will gain knowledge necessary for growing the business. All entrepreneurs experience isolation, but they don't have to if they stay in touch with others.
(2) Make Work Fun
Spend more time playing in your business than working in it. This does not mean don't take business seriously or goof off. It means to find joy in every day tasks and to create fun in the workplace so others will experience it also. It is no surprise that companies such as Google, which offers employees a place to feel creative and enjoy themselves, not only wins Best Place To Work contests annually and continues to thrive. Even a small business, with few employees, can be a place where everyone enjoys coming to work daily and experiences fun. One example of this is designing contests for all sales tasks. Put a bell in your office and when a sale is made ring it as a sign of success. Take time to think of ways you can treat employees and yourself to something special in the office - make work fun!
(3) Practice Patience
Is patience something one gender does better than the other? I don't believe so. But, women entrepreneurs tend to internalize their lack of patience more than men - that I do know. Entrepreneurs of both genders tend to be focused people who have a plan and will do everything in the power to see their plan actualized. Often this means people and circumstances will get in the way and a lack of patience will hinder the outcome. Others do not necessarily see the world the way YOU, the entrepreneur, does. Realize that upfront and practice listening to others so that you hear what they do understand. Practice patience with yourself, with employees, with customers and the marketplace. If you are moving at 100 miles an hour because you know exactly where you are going - don't expect others who don't have the map tro be moving or thinking at the same speed.
BTW - patience is something I'm still working on too.
(4) Stop Procrastinating
Nothing speaks more to success than JUST DO IT! You can't start a business, grow a business, sell a business by thinking about it - you must take action - you must make decisions - you must move forward. The late Walt Disney famously said "If your business is not changing it is dying."
Follow these 4 tips and I promise you you will not only be successful in business, but happy too.
