As an entrepreneur and small business owner you will have to make many decisions. As a matter of fact, your number one responsibility is to decide what to do every minute of the day and night to guide your business to success. Ask yourself:
Am I decisive?
Do I know how to filter the advice from others and come to my own decision?
Do I have resources that I can count on to assist me with the information I need to make decisions?
Am I afraid that asking too many questions makes me look ignorant of the subject?
If the answer to the first three questions is YES you can stop reading this blog and start making the decisions you need to make today to keep your business thriving. If you answered YES to the fourth question than STOP what you are doing and listen up! Women entrepreneurs are particularly in this category of fearing how they look when they ask question after question, however, asking questions is how we learn. The truth is many men don't ask questions, not because they know the answer but because they don't care about the answer. A successful entrepreneur, small business owner, knows that understanding the right, the left and the middle of a question makes one a better decision maker. However, even after getting all the information you need you will still be in the position of making a decision and my advice is - Go With Your Gut! You've probably heard it before but any decision is better than no decision. You can't stand in the middle of the road not turning right, not turning left because eventually you'll be run over. That's right - knocked down because you didn't make a decision. Every decision you make will have a consequence. But that consequence can be positive as well as negative and you must believe enough in yourself to be willing to follow your gut instinct. I believe in your gut. You must believe in your gut. Once you do you'll find that making decisions and moving out of your own way is not only possible but responsible for your success. Without decisions you and your business go round and round and never move forward...oh but they will move backward. You see, every decision has a time limit on when it must be executed. Unfortunately there is no visible clock ticking so that you can see when the time is up and you will fall down the trap door. The hole in the floor in this case is completely imaginary, but it does exist. So, begin today by describing yourself as a decision maker, a decisive entrepreneur ready to take a risk by going with your gut and making the best out of where your decision leads you. You'll find that what use to be the fork or the rotary of decisions will transform itself into the fast lane highway to success.
