Did you know that the National Women's Business Council reported that there are 15.6 million women-business owners in the U.S. as of 2002? This is an average of 424 new woman-owned firms, between the years of 1997 and 2002, starting every day. The employment growth in these firms with 100 or more, increased 44% between 1997 and 2002, twice the rate of all comparably sized firms.
